The History of MaxPreps - In Photos

Let's take a trip back in time and see how MaxPreps has evolved into the company it is today.

The company was founded August 28, 2002 in Cameron Park, CA. MaxPreps started out as SacPreps, covering high school sports in the Sacramento area in its first year.

Here is our first office:

We changed our name and became MaxPreps on July 1, 2003. MaxPreps was born when we expanded coverage from Sacramento to the entire state of California.

Our logo changed in 2004 and we expanded our coverage to states outside California.

We moved offices to another Cameron Park location in 2005.

In 2006, Mike and Chris headed around the country to spread the word about MaxPreps with the MaxPreps Road Tour.

 

In April 2007, CBS bought MaxPreps.

We moved offices again in July 2007 to our current location.

 In November 2007, our logo evolved once more.

After many logo changes we finally settled on these two in January 2008 and have used them ever since.

There were a lot of changes happening during the early years of MaxPreps, but due to continued support from high school sports fans and coaches we've continued to grow and we will be celebrating our 10 year anniversary this fall!
